It is a kind of high cost-effective plastic material and is popular among consumers. So, starting from the classification of plastic pipes today, I'd like to take you to know about plastic pipes.

At present, there are six kinds of common plastic pipes on the market:

1. Rigid PVC plastic pipe, commonly known as UPVC pipe. It has the advantages of light weight, low strength, good self extinguishing performance and good chemical stability, and can be used for drainage, sewage, ventilation, etc.

2. Polyethylene pipe, commonly known as PE pipe. According to the density, it can be subdivided into HDPE pipe, MDPE pipe and LDPE pipe. High density has high strength and good heat resistance, which can be used in urban gas and water supply pipeline; medium density has general stiffness and strength, but has good flexibility and creep resistance; The flexibility and elongation of low density have certain advantages, and its impact resistance, chemical stability and high frequency insulation performance are excellent, which can be used for rural irrigation, power, cable communication and so on.

3. Cross linked polyethylene pipe, commonly known as PE-X pipe. It has good memory, environmental protection, chemical properties, corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. It can be used for the supply of cooling and heating systems in buildings, such as heating pipes, central air conditioning pipes, hot water supply pipes, etc. It can also be used in food industry as food transportation pipeline.

4. Random copolymerization polypropylene pipe, commonly known as PP-R pipe. It is non-toxic, tasteless and particularly hygienic. With good heat resistance and antifreeze performance, it is an ideal material for hot and cold water pipes. It is mainly used in cold and hot drinking water supply system, beverage production and transportation system, hot water heating system and air conditioning system in civil and industrial buildings.

5. Polybutene pipe, commonly known as PB pipe. It has high strength, good creep resistance, simple installation and easy operation. On the other hand, because of its high price, small diameter and easy to be eroded by some aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated solvents, its application range is taboo.

6. Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene pipe, commonly known as ABS pipe. It has good heat resistance, corrosion resistance, creep resistance, non-toxic, tasteless, sanitary and clean, but poor heat transfer performance, not suitable for places exposed to sunlight. In foreign countries, it is generally used for sewage, irrigation, underground electric conduction, etc.; in China, it is generally used for indoor water supply and transmission of corrosive media.

In summary, the classification of plastic pipe is introduced here. Here we remind you that in the actual application, the installation and use of pipes should be based on the specific environment. More professional knowledge can not be summarized in a few words. Therefore, it is best to consult professionals before making a decision when purchasing pipes.
